AXION Footwear - Brand Director/Art Direction/Designer

AXION Footwear was a pioneering, core street skateboarding brand founded by professional skateboarder, Kareem Campbell. Joining Kareem, we set out to expand skateboarding beyond Southern California, being at the forefront to spread skateboarding community to inner city youth and urban centers worldwide. We continued to build a diverse team representing skateboarding on an international scale, also bringing new technical innovations to skateboard specific footwear; such as, being the first company adding "AIR" components to our outsoles that became industry standards. This experience became ground zero in brand building, footwear and clothing design, art directing a unified vision, building cross-promotional marketing opportunities, organizing skate demos and sponsoring contests worldwide, exponentially growing our visibility into one of the most influential street skate companies of its time.
